HERON ROAD, BELFAST, NORTHERN IRELAND; ATHLONE IRELAND – 7th November 2019, INTELESENS Ltd (Intelesens), a business unit of RENEW HEALTH Ltd (Renew Health), a connected healthcare company outmarked, today announced the launch of its new electrode manufacturing suite at its development and manufacturing facility in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Intelesens, founded in 2001 as a spin out from the Ulster University, develops and manufactures defibrillation electrodes at the Belfast facility, which aretoday used in some of the world’s leading AED devices. Intelesens has also developed a range of wearable wireless vital signs monitoring devices to be worn by the patient both in-hospital and or at home.
“I am delighted, to announce the opening of this new state of the art Intelesens manufacturing and development facility for our Electrode business”, said Declan Cassells, MD of Renew Health Ltd. “The upgrading and expansion of our facility is a result of the growing demand of our quality electrode products for our clients and allows us the opportunity to grow and expand on our success to date” he continued.
The new facility now boasts 3,500 sq. ft. of manufacturing with an additional 1,000 sq. ft. of dedicated research and development facilities and equates to a £250,000 investment. This facility is currently certified to ISO 13485:2016 and meet the requirements of global regulation..
As well as an established list of clients which includes multinational companies, Intelesens also provides a range of services including concept proposal to commercialization, and full-scale manufacturing of bespoke electrodes for the healthcare market.
